Joanna Hrisulidu

Production Designer / Scenographer

A graduate of Interior Architecture from the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, Joanna Hrisulidu has been working in film, theatre, and television scenography since 2011.

She has collaborated with numerous directors, including Waldemar Krzystek, Alex Helfrecht, Paweł Łukomski (Studio35), Cezary Studniak (Capitol Musical Theatre, Wrocław), and Jarosław Fret (Teatr ZAR, Jerzy Grotowski Institute).

For the past ten years, she has been collaborating with the Capitol Musical Theatre in Wrocław, designing statuettes awarded as part of the Actor’s Song Review (Przegląd Piosenki Aktorskiej).

Her work has been presented in both solo and group exhibitions, including at Stacja Design Gallery in Wrocław, the Lubusz Land Museum in Zielona Góra, the City Arsenal in Wrocław, and Galeria R+ in Szczecin.

Since 2021, she has been working with Techland, one of Poland’s leading and internationally recognized video game developers. Her scenography for the Dying 2 Know episode series was awarded in the Kreatura Independent Creative Competition in the Techniques – Scenography category.

She has also designed scenography for numerous commercial productions, collaborating with brands such as Reuters, Wolt, LG, Wokas, and Archicom. A commercial and photo shoot featuring her scenography for Wokas received an award at the prestigious Effie Awards.

Her work and professional practice were featured in an extensive interview published in Trendy Magazine, Special Anniversary Issue (March 2023).
